By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

4. ✍ *Give examples* of each type of imagery from poems, stories, or their own writing.

- Imagery means using descriptive words to help readers see, hear, smell, taste, and feel what is happening.
- It makes writing come alive in your mind like a movie!

πŸ–️ The 5 Types of Imagery

1. πŸ‘€ Visual Imagery (What you see)

- Helps you picture something in your mind.
- Example: The bright yellow sun peeked over the tall green mountains.

2. πŸ‘‚ Auditory Imagery (What you hear)

- Describes sounds.
- Example: The sizzling bacon popped and cracked in the pan.

3. πŸ‘ƒ Olfactory Imagery (What you smell)

- Talks about scents.
- Example: The sweet smell of cookies filled the kitchen.

4. πŸ‘… Gustatory Imagery (What you taste)

- Describes flavors.
- Example: The sour lemon made my mouth pucker.

- Talks about how something feels (texture or temperature).
